Taking the Sting Out of Fashion Faux Pas - Page 1

"What's Buggin' You?"
This is the question my husband posed to me as I tugged at my blouse and grumbled during a flight to Las Vegas from Atlanta in April 2005. I told him that my blouse was really bugging me. Something only a woman would say, right? Every time I leaned forward in my wraparound top, the other passengers could see a lot more than my heart on my sleeve. It was just so annoying and uncomfortable, and I said to him in exasperation, "Someone needs to fix this problem. Pins just don't work, and they look ugly." And he shot back, "Why don't you? You're mechanically inclined."

An epiphany! Why didn't I fix it? After recently completing a long-term marketing consulting position at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, I had been contemplating my next career move for months. I was unsure of my next step, but I knew I wanted to do something that would give me flexibility and benefit women. Typically I am risk averse, but I prayed for guidance, and the idea for Bug Catcherz popped into my head like a gift.
